Users of the Trunk Waterway highlighted the progress and transparency of the Hidrovía tender process after a meeting with the executive director of the ANPYN, Iñaki Arreseygor, where the evaluation of Stage 1 was reviewed. During the meeting, executives of private entities emphasized the importance of having precise information about each stage of the process. Subsequently, the ANPYN will issue a resolution to proceed with the opening of Envelope 2, which corresponds to the analysis of the work plan. Afterwards, Stage 3 will evaluate the economic offers, in a scheme where the price will have the greatest weight. The process contemplates an estimated investment of over 10 billion dollars and aims to guarantee the lowest possible tariff for producers before the final award and the signing of the new Hidrovía contract. In turn, DTA Engenharia did not present the required guarantees and was recommended for disqualification. Arreseygor stated that "a committed and professional technical work was done" and stressed that in the next phase "two of the largest companies in the world" will compete, which he considered decisive for the development of the tender. The bidding companies now have seven days to appeal the report.
